Voltage mode warning

Forgive my ignorance, but why is there a voltage selector warning in the pokit app (for pokit pro).  What is inherently risky when measuring voltages?

 

Is there a way to turn the warning off or only display it once per session of using pokit pro?

  The inherently risky thing we are trying to avoid is that multimeters are commonly used to check that mains voltages are "dead" before touching them, but there is a chance (however small) that your multimeter may not be functioning correctly when you go to check. So you should always check first on a known live mains voltage to confirm that the multimeter is working correctly.

  In the latest versions of the app you can select do not show again on this warning.
