[Multimeter] flash LED red when detecting voltages >65V on AC !AND! DC (regardless of setting)
Hi,
working with the pokit Pro in 230V AC household systems I'd consider it to be very useful (if not necessary) to have the LED flash red when detecting a potentially deadly voltage (like 65V -- there might be some normative limits beyond which a voltage is considered deadly depending on AC or DC).
I often do stumble across the problem that I accidentally have the meter on DC (instead of AC) and declare a AC-line to be switched off) when working on it. That is potentially very dangerous, since -- as any good multimeter -- pokit will display ~0VDC on an 230VAC line ;)
I suggest having the red LED flash when detecting voltages larger a fixed / adjustable limit in AC or DC independent of voltage / mode AC, DC, or oscilloscope selected. From a hardware point of view, I do not see any difficulties there. In my eyes, that could be done in software just fine and would be a huge improvement in terms of safety using pokit Pro.
