Add spectrum analyzer...
Answered
I think this would be a FW/SW change only, and while there is more overhead for the FFT calculations, current devices seem to handle it just fine. There are several free apps that demonstrate this using the device microphone, but it is just as useful at higher frequencies (though you could connect an audio mike if needed).
I run into cases where a spectrum analyzer is necessary. If I am looking for harmonics or jitter in a signal, this is very handy. This would extend the Pokitmeter further into the realm of professional users.
I particularly use the following views:
- Octave RTA
- FFT Plot
- Spectrograph or Waterfall plots

Hi Russ,
FFT is already there in the app. To use it, go to the oscilloscope function and click on the time button. You will see a frequency domain toggle button DFT (Digital Fourier Transform). If you toggle it then Pokit works on the frequency domain and plots the FFT of the acquired signal.

Check it out and let us know how it goes.

That is wonderful! As soon as I get a working Pokit I’ll try it. Your SW is great!
