Frequency of datalogging measurements, and trigger thresholds.
It would be useful, especially with the Pokit Pro, to be able to set the frequency of measurements taken when in datalogging mode.
Also useful would be the ability to set trigger thresholds to record, say, each time a certain voltage was exceeded for more than 1 minute - i.e. to log the frequency of a parameter occurring, as opposed to just using a set time interval.
Grid over-voltage is an increasing problem (certainly in the UK), as Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) run right at the threshold of the upper permitted mains voltage parameter (216-253V AC), in order to minimise losses in transmission. Grid Nominal Voltage in the UK is 230V AC, but is frequently found running at a steady 250V, and we have logged it often at 265V.
This has become a real problem for domestic and commercial clients alike, especially with the increased use of LED lighting and other devices with third party power supplies. Most of these aren't rated for voltages as high as 250V, and certainly not on a sustained basis. As a result, transformer and power supply failures are now the biggest cause of faults we deal with.
In order to prove the problem, we need to be able to leave relatively inexpensive dataloggers attached to installations to record the frequency and extent of Grid overvoltages. The Pokit Meters would be ideal for this if able to record mains voltage, but the ability to use Pokit Pros to record either single phase or 3-phase voltages would be a useful addition.

Hi Jamie Adam,
With Pokit Pro's logger function, you will be able to set how frequently measurements are taken. This is a great idea that you've put forward with taking readings when a certain threshold has been reached. I have passed it on to our engineers to see if this feature would be able to be implemented in the future.

Great! Pokit Pro looks like it's going to be an increasingly useful tool. I'd expect to see it become a staple of professional electricians' toolkits, in much the same way as the Testo range now is for heating engineers.
Can't wait to try it out.

Hi Jamie Adam,
We too hope that Pokit Pro will become a go-to tool!
