The ability to read NMEA 0183 messages.  The probe could pick the signal easily and the software to interpret I believe would be minimal to interpret.  I have a NMEA reader that is tiny znt-300 I believe.  Would be nice to reduce the number of machines needed to be carried and also to be able to see it on a larger screen, iPhone/iPad etc.

  Great idea, but a bit niche don't you think??
  
  Maybe we should start with a request for a general purpose bus decoder first??? The usual suspect: UART(RS-232/422/etc), CAN/LIN. And I2C/SPI, if that's feasible/doable with this "a one channel pr unit" setup.

  Maybe it’s niche but at least it’s doable with the two wires and not needing to add anything. I’m no programmer but I am sure it is probably pretty easy to do for NMEA. You can keep your condescending remarks to yourself.
