LED Indicator light

My apologies if this is already posted somewhere, but what are the functions of the LED?

When plugged in to charge the light blinks green. Does this indicate charging or charged? 

Does the LED have any other function?

  I have the same question regarding the Pokitmeter (not a pro Version). I just received black version, so the LED is not visible. I want to know, what is the function of the LED so I can decide if I want to drill a hole in the case or rather not...

  I find it very poor this item is two years old with no reply from pokit admin.
