thermocouple twmperature logging
would LOVE to be able to log temperature off at K type thermocouple- obviously the meter has the capability to do it, measure mV it just needs the conversion tables added.
if it could do that we would be buying them by the dozen!

Jason,
the Pokit and the Pokit Pro do not give an accurate enough voltage measurements, for a type K thermocouple at 10 degrees Celsius the junction voltage is just 37microvolts at 100 Degrees C the junction gives 4096 micro volts, at 500 degrees C the junction gives 20.664 millivolts, at 1000 degrees C the junction gives 41276 microvolts If you had an op amp circuit that could magnify the voltage signal from the thermocouple a thousand times linearly we could use the pocket pro to read the resulting voltage from the op amp to read thermocouples directly.
If you can make the circuit that does this cheaply I will throw the polynomials into an open source CAS so every one can calculate the temp from the amplified millivolt signal. I'm all in for a inexpensive thermocouple amplifier. if we did the work of it perhaps Pokit would jump on the band wagon and offer it as a optional signal conditioner for their wonderful meter/loggers!
