desktop app

The android(my case use) app is really great for on the  go usages.  But at home on the workbench, being already cluttered with  cablings and doodads, adding the cellphone on a corner tablet makes it impractical and potentialy dangerous to the phone.

Has there been any progress or attempt to make the android software port to either windows/mac/linux?  If not, i'd like to give it a try. 

Could anyone give me pointers to the bluetooth protocol to obtain smooth constant data flow from the meters?   Will be looking into doing first a text-based linux interface, to later upgrade to a full gui version to keep manageable.  Guess i need to go find the bt api protocols document now.
