Welcome back to another Pokit Pro weekly update!
We haven't published an update over the past few weeks as our offices were closed over the holiday period, but we will be posting these weekly again.
Most of our Super Early Bird Kickstarter orders have arrived with our first backers. We have received great feedback so far and encourage those who have received their orders to let us know what you think!
As mentioned in our December newsletter, our manufacturers have continued to experience delays over the past few weeks due to enforced COVID lockdowns. Regrettably, this means that our next batch of units is now projected to be ready at the end of January. It's not all bad news as we have been able to build 6000 complete Pokit Pro PCBs, 4500 of which have already gone through the PCA test jig. These boards are now ready to be placed in the housing plastics over the next couple of weeks.
As we attempt to scale up production, we have experienced some assembly issues on our production line. We continue to work hard to remove these 'weak links' that slow down the production process as we're not satisfied with the current throughput.
Our engineers have improved the test jig and significantly improved yield and throughput. Production test efficiency has also been enhanced, including additional testing after the PCA test jig to ensure each Pokit Pro meets our quality standard.
