Welcome back to another weekly update. As of this week, the Pokit Team have had to mainly work from home due to a lockdown here in Sydney, Australia. Our hardware engineers have still been able to spend some time in the office building boards and our software engineers have been able to do their work on the app remotely, so progress is still being made on Pokit Pro!
On the production front, we have identified some more tooling changes that we need to make. Our manufacturers ultrasonic welded the production Pokit Pro units shut before sending them off for safety certification. One unit was damaged beyond repair in this process, but the rest of the units were welded successfully. We are now in the process of ordering the rest of the components that we don’t already have on hand for the first 1000 units so we can get into production as soon as possible once safety certification is completed.
Our software team is continuing to work on the new Pokit App, with only a few tasks left needing to be completed. They have indicated that it should be ready for release towards the end of July, so keep an eye out for announcements about that!

What is the current projection of fulfillment with the COVID crisis in Australia?
Hi Jonathon “Eric” Vinson,
Since our manufacturing and safety certification are being conducted in China and we are still able to use our Sydney office, there shouldn't be any delays from the COVID restrictions around Australia. We should find out the certification results in the coming couple of weeks and should be able to begin production shortly after this.
If we don't need to make any further changes to Pokit Pro's design, we should be able to begin shipping around early or mid Q3, yet this is subject to change. We will be able to give a more exact ETA once we pass safety certification, so keep an eye out for that in the coming weeks.
