Hi Michael Jaciuk, I can see that your order was made via our website (Pokit Shop), so your order is currently scheduled for fulfilment in late May 2022.

I made a purchase in August 2021.  I was told it would ship Q3 of 2021.  Nothing happened.  I emailed you and was told it would ship in March 2022 now.  I waited and again nothing came.  Then I was told it would ship in March 2022 and again waited and nothing came.  Now as I write this I am told it will ship in June 2022 What's going on?

    Daniel,

I was asking similar (frustrated) questions back in May 2021. I guess I'll wait a few days for the anniversary of that email before asking the same question again "Will I see it this year?" [deep resigned sigh]

What bothers me is that I'm out of $131.00 for a product which apparently doesn't really exist as of yet.  I keep asking and they keep delaying.  And furthermore the CS "team" consists of only 1 person as far as I can tell - Lachlan M.  Throughout this whole ordeal, that's the only person that's been getting back to me.  I understand delays but this is ridiculous.  They should hire more personnel so that these type of issues can be resolved at a faster rate.  So I'm stuck here - the frustration alone isn't worth the product for me.

I do sympathize here in 2022 with the situation. It's frustrating for everyone dealing with Covid issues, component supply issues, staff shortages, the situation in China, supplier issues in general etc etc. It's a tuff gig. Where I was frustrated was in the early phases of development where it appeared (to me at least) there was no ass-kicking going on whatsoever. They (management) just appeared to accept whatever they were told without question.

As a director of a manufacturing company, that was incredibly frustrating as a customer. I can only hope I see my Pokit Pro this year, but I've learned that the holding of breath is not recommended.

Daniel Tone same feeling here, except I ordered 4/28/21, it sucks to keep seeing updates with absolutely no mention of the pre-orders from the site, oh well, I have learned that with crowdfunding expecting anything in any sort of time frame is hopeless and not worth the stress, and I don't suggest it if you need the thing you are ordering for anything important because you will almost certainly be disappointed.

That's the thing, I had no idea it was crowd funded. I ordered it from the website and I was under the impression that it was just under development and ready to ship and day now.  I learned my lesson.  They offered to return my paypal amount for $131, but I'm still waiting for that.  If I knew that this was similar to "vapor ware", I would have never purchased it....or tried to purchase it.  Thanks for all your wonderful comments...I understand what happened now.  Pity they couldn't just say that in the back and forth emails.  Just kept keeping me in suspense that I would actually get the product soon.

I agree, I assumed when I bought it from the website that it was going to at least ship within less than a YEAR, kind of disappointing the way they approached orders from their site and the way that they neglect to care about the people that ordered, you would THINK that they would ship the first-party orders first, instead of attending to all of the crowd funding site orders first and entirely neglecting their OWN CUSTOMERS, makes me want to just throw the thing away when I get it, because imagine how bad the customer support will be if anything goes wrong with it...

Mike Girard, why you would think you should get your order before backers who pledged for the product in November 2019 is beyond me. Order of fulfillment was always Kickstarter, IndieGoGo, Pokit Shop pre-orders. They have never stated otherwise.

On another note, isn't your credit card or paypal or whatever supposed to be charged when the item ships?  That's usually the norm at least here.  I understood a pre-order to be a pledge that you will purchase the item and be charged along the same timeframe to when they put it in a FedEx or equivalent.  Not sure what happened in this case but it any event this was a real disappointment.  I mean the product idea is awesome...and tiny - that's exactly what I need in my line of work. So it's sort of a double disappointment - one for being out of $131 (they still haven't processed my return even after almost a week - geeze!!) and two for missing out on a great little gadget.

I was told I would get a refund on April 26th.  They asked for my Paypal address and said no problem.  It is now May 5th and I'm still waiting.  I seriously don't understand why it's taking over one week to just click a few keys on Paypal and do the right thing and return my money.  After all this waiting now I have to once again wait just for something small like this to happen.

That is a concern. I truly hope the delays are not primarily due to cash flow issues.

In the end, they were cool about it and refunded the money finally.  I think they are just overcommitted and they don't have enough staff.  They have a great product idea but without delivering on a mass scale, I think they will lose a lot of potential new customers. In any event I'm going to put all this behind me and stick to my regular multimeter...good luck to everyone and I certainly hope you all get your device as soon as possible and it's as great as they say.

wow  reading this its kind of a little depressing..  i ordered back in feb 21.  Can not get a straight answer either from support.  I didnt think it would take this long either and like others was not aware that it was going to take this long and though that it was at least in production.

The thing that really grinds my gears is that they can not give a definitive 'this is the rough date' when it will be delivered.  I have had to buy another scope to tide me over which is a bit ridicules as I hung of buying this and put my own project back months waiting for support to give me any idea or clue when i was going to get my product.

Yes i do sympathise with the current and previous COVID situation but as someone who has worked ALL the way through it and not had any time off like most it does seem to some of us that it is used as an excuse to why things dont get done.

this is the reply i have had from support

Since your orders were made via our website, they are scheduled to be fulfilled in May 2022. Be sure to be checking our weekly updates over the coming weeks to see how we are progressing with production: https://help.pokitmeter.com/hc/en-us/sections/360010887494-Pokit-Pro

and may i ask.. on the last update it says  ' The final batch of units to fulfil the webshop pre-orders is scheduled for completion towards the end of the month.'  ok so in the previous update it says 'our manufacturers were able to produce more than 7,000 units AND stock our fulfilment centre in Hong Kong. '   so I take it then they are coming from hong kong now.  wonder what the import duty is going to be for people.   are we going to be stung with a heavy bill from the shipping company now also for customs?

Has anyone had Any email with ANY schedule for delivery as if by looking at the updates it says that we are getting the product in the next week or 4 then surely, they could or should have informed us?

honestly i am lost with this now.  and hope that the customer service gets a lot better otherwise no matter how good the product its going to fail.

do hope Troy is not correct and this is a matter of cash flow.

I just received my Pokit Pros as a regular Kickstarter Backer, I got the fulfillment notification 2 weeks ago, so the latest timeline seems to be on track. That would put all web-site pre-orders to be fulfilled by mid June, with about 2 weeks of transit time. I hope you all get your devices soon, they are nifty gadgets.

    Hi Glyn,

The production schedule has shifted back since you were last in contact with us. The units are scheduled to be assembled and shipped from our manufacturer in late May, so we are confident at this point that website pre-orders will be fulfilled in about mid-June. We can confirm that the delays aren't to do with cash flow and are instead mainly influenced by manufacturing processes.

    When Is my pokit ship

    0
  • Doug Twyman (moatsad67)

well past mid-june and still no shipping notice of my MULTIPLE pre-orders from dec 4th 2020.

. (Order 9008807 and Order 9008806 ) . what scares me is the production schedule says "We have now sold out of our 18k unit production run and any new pre-orders will be fulfilled in our 2nd batch due to be completed at the end of July."   So after waiting almost more than 2 years I get bumped yet again ?

I'm still waiting from Aug 2020. I'm thinking I'll see it on the 2 year anniversary.

While waiting for my order I purchased 2 regular Pokit meters, and I absolutely hate them. I gave one to my dad (former electrician) and I'm embarrassed for even offering it to him it's such a toy. Can't wait for the pro ones to get here to never want to use them either. Give me a regular multimeter any day of the week.

    Hi Mike,

Can you possibly elaborate on what you don't like about them? Like you, I was considering grabbing one in the interim and I'm curious to hear about their usefulness, virtues and shortcomings.

leads are too short and can't be replaced, the connectors that can be used to try and attach to a wire are a joke and come off so easily they're essentially useless, the fact that without a phone there is no way to use it at all and so in the future the entire device will most likely become entirely disfunctional and unable to use... anything else i can remember i will edit this later

Which I kinda expected given the constraints of something that size. But as a tool that will only be used when there's no multimeter on hand?

My pokit was held back by German customs. Obviously, the Pokit is not allowed to be imported to Germany. That's bad news, hope I get some comments from the Pokit team.

Hi Matthias Dübon, we are working on a new Declaration of Conformity that provides all the necessary information. You will be able to find the updated version here: https://help.pokitmeter.com/hc/en-us/articles/5217962119951-Pokit-Pro-EU-Declaration-of-Conformity

    Hi Lachlan,

thanks for the info but the German customs is not asking about a Declaration of Conformity, it simply states the product isn't allowed to be imported to Germany. I think you Pokit must handle this issue.
