In order to be portable, Pokit Meter has a neat lead retraction mechanism.
To extend the leads, grab each end probe and pull in opposite directions.
To retract the leads, simply press and hold the button.

Why not integrate an on/off switch with the cord retract button (Off) and a simple rotation detector/motion switch when cords are pulled out,
