Update #19 Pin Shipping Begins!

Hey Pokit Backers,

This is a big one. After a challenging start to the first production run, Pokit Clamps are finally starting to make their way to our warehouse and the first backer shipments are about to begin.

We know it’s been a long wait. Here’s where we are.

First Production Units Are Ready

Production began as planned, and we've now built more than 150 units of the first 500 batch. As part of validating the production process, we sent 10 completed units back to our team for extensive testing.

That testing uncovered one final issue. If a Clamp was completely discharged and then left in that state for an extended period, it could enter a brownout condition and fail to restart normally.

This was related to a change made during certification and only appeared after taking the battery well beyond its normal low-battery state, which is why it hadn't shown up during earlier testing.

It was frustrating to find this so late, but catching issues like this is exactly why we've set such high standards for production verification. We've now implemented the fix, reworked the affected units and successfully verified the solution.

Production is moving again.

Shipping Is Starting

The first units are now making their way to our warehouse, and we're preparing to start shipping to our earliest backers.

We're deliberately starting slowly with small groups from the super early bird batch. This allows us to closely monitor quality and fulfilment before increasing the volume week by week.

So if you don't receive a shipping confirmation immediately, don't worry, your batch simply hasn't come up yet. We'll continue working through the remaining orders as production scales.

The New Pokit App Is Submitted!

Finally, another huge milestone: the new Pokit App has been submitted to the app stores for review.

Approval can take some time, but once complete we'll be releasing the new app publicly. 

This isn't just for Clamp owners. If you already have a Pokit Pro or Pokit Meter, you'll also get the completely redesigned experience and the foundation for all the new features we've been building.

It's been a long road, but shipping is finally beginning.
