Good news. We’ve just sent our designs off for production! Verification is complete and the tooling process has started. The ball is well and truly rolling on this updated Pokit Pro design.

Here’s all the boxes we checked over the past few weeks:

• All prototype testing is done
• All modes have been checked and are working well
• We resolved an issue with the accuracy of the resistance measurement
• The devices are functioning as per the specification

Once the tooling process is complete, we’re looking to get a batch of 50 units in by the end of January. Half of these units will be used for user beta testing, and the rest will be put through final certification. So now it’s just a race to get them produced before Chinese New Year in February!

The Pokit Forum 2.0

On other fronts, we’re going to be making some exciting changes to the Pokit Forum from January 2021. We love our backers and wanted to create an improved space for the Pokit Community to connect.

The new forum will be a place for deep insights into Pokit Pro’s development, along with exclusive news on upcoming projects and technical hacks. There will be weekly updates on Pro’s timeline, and you’ll be able to ask any questions you may have. Beyond that – the forum will give you even more ability to shape our products and to suggest where we venture next.

We also want to know: how are you using your Pokits? On the forum, you can show us! We would love to see what projects you are working on and have everyone sharing their achievements.

As we move out of production ‘Hell’ we are looking to the future. Pokit has achieved a lot with a small team but we are now ready expand. We are currently looking for content creators and digital marketer’s, but we are always on the hunt for good engineering talent too.
